I want to see a specialized cyno frigate with a reduction in cyno duration.
Everyone uses kestrals with a cyno in the high slot, why not have a frigate that has a single highslot just for a cyno, and gets a bonus similar to a recon. (or slightly better) make it a little pricey for what it is (and it's inevitable death) . perhaps 15 or 20 mil... maybe 30 mil.. cheap enough that you would use it in a situation you would think twice about using a recon, expensive enough that you won't use it for any old cyno, and make it paper thin so its not for hot dropping in enemy territory.
Could use a retextured exploration or industrial frigate model.
1 high slot for a cyno with just enough cpu / pwr with a large cargo hold (or possibly a hold for ozone only)
and no change in ozone consumption.
2 skills associated to it.
Cyno Ships (8x) - reduces cyno time by 1 minute per level with a max of 5 minutes.
requires level 1 to fly the ship
Cyno Reduction (14x) - reduces cyno duration by 30 seconds
requires level 4 of cyno ships and only applies to cyno utility frigs
with long skill training times it could take around 3 months to take full advantage of both bonuses at level 5
4 to 7 days to unlock secondary skill, which could be up to level 3 in a few more days leaving the average user of this ship with a 4 min 30 sec cyno time. just slightly better than a recon.
Max skills would result in a 2 min 30 sec cyno duration, however would take well over 2 months, if not 3 months to skill with the high rank multipliers on the skills.
cyno duration based on Cyno Ship Skill and Cyno Reduction Skill levels
ship 3 / reduction 0 = 7 min 0 sec
ship 4 / reduction 0 = 6 min 0 sec
ship 4 / reduction 1 = 5 min 30 sec
ship 4 / reduction 2 = 5 min 0 sec
ship 4 / reduction 3 = 4 min 30 sec (should take around 2 weeks to skill up)
ship 4 / reduction 4 = 4 min 0 sec (potentially another week)
(the uncomfortably long level 5 bonuses few would train)
ship 5 / reduction 4 = 3 min 0 sec (at least 3 more maybe 4 more weeks to squeeze this extra minute out)
ship 5 / reduction 5 = 2 min 30 sec (45 to 60 more days for 30 seconds)
with no reduction in ozone consumption, an ozone specific hold could allow you to hold a large number of cycles (I'd like to see it 1500 m3 ozone hold and 120 m3 cargo)
